Deal calculator

Model your deal.
Every number is editable.

Pick a starting structure, then type your own numbers — ownership, unit economics, volumes. The model recalculates live: year-1 P&L, investment recovery before any profit split, per-role returns and an indicative exit. All figures are preliminary — exact numbers are built after a briefing, per deal.

1 · Deal structure

Who owns what. Presets are starting points from real deals — edit any share directly. The sales channel earns its trade margin regardless of equity.

Equity total: 100%

2 · Product economics

Start from a category benchmark or type your own. Volumes of 10–100k units/year are the sweet spot we target.

Volume from your customer base

Units per year = active customers × trial rate × purchases per adopter. The honest way to size a consumable launch.

Editing these fields updates the volume in the model below. You can still override units directly.

3 · The MVP stage — prove it small first

Before anyone commits to a full launch, a small first run tests real demand. The downside is capped at the MVP budget — that is the whole point.

Profit waterfall

The startup investment is recovered first. Only the remainder is split by equity.

Cap table vs. the money

Equity governs profit and exit — not the channel margin, which is paid as a cost of selling before profit exists. That is why a role's share of the money can differ sharply from its share of the company.

Indicative exit

The lead partner holds a buy-out right at pre-agreed terms. Value shown at a multiple of annual distributable profit — indicative only. Proceeds divide by the cap table, not by the economics: the channel margin is a trading arrangement and ends when the brand is sold.
